Bone detection in the carcass

Image   segmentation   can   have   many  applications,   sometimes  quite   surprising.  One  of   them   is  detection of bones in the images of carcass. Task is to develop a procedure for extracting the contours  of  the  vertebras in  the  given  set  of  carcass  images and assessing  the size  of  the  detected bones.
